In Ephesos soll, wohl um 157, der am Vorbild der platonischen Dialoge orientierte Dialog des Christen Justinus mit dem Juden Tryphon stattgefunden haben, eine der frühesten überlieferten christlichen Auseinandersetzungen mit dem Judentum.
